We loved being the photographers for Christie and Sabrina’s wedding at Playa Studios in Culver City. Their wedding was a perfect blend of chill vibes, fun moments, and heartfelt love, making it a day to remember.
Playa Studios is a unique and versatile event space that offers a perfect blend of industrial charm and modern elegance. Originally a warehouse, Playa Studios has been transformed into a contemporary venue that features high ceilings, exposed beams, and an abundance of natural light. The venue’s minimalist design provides a blank canvas for couples to personalize their wedding, while the existing elements such as the mural wall, lush plants, and art on the walls add character and charm.
Christie and Sabrina described their wedding style as chill, gay, fun, and happy, which perfectly matched their personalities. They loved the simplicity and the various photo spots at Playa Studios, including the mural wall, plants, and artistic elements that provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.
Christie and Sabrina wanted a mix of candid and fun photos, with a touch of editorial and artsy shots. They emphasized the importance of capturing intimate moments during the ceremony and showing how happy they are, alongside candid shots of their friends and family. The day was filled with spontaneous moments, from dancing and twirling to genuine expressions of love and joy.
The couple chose "Never My Love" by The Association for their first dance, a beautiful song that set the tone for the evening. They got ready together, which added an extra layer of intimacy and connection to their photos.
The wedding was expertly coordinated by Karla + Dani from Pop the Champagne, with DJ Phatrick providing the perfect soundtrack for the night. Border Grill catered the event. Christie and Sabrina's rings were from Tiffany's, and they both wore stylish suits from Kirrin Finch, paired with Camper shoes and ties from Beau Ties of Vermont.
