cinematic documentary wedding photographers in Los Angeles

Photos for those who think “weddings can be kinda weird, but we’re doing it anyway”

We’re Los Angeles wedding photographers, dedicated to making you feel seen and actually enjoy your wedding day.

We’re Em + Tay. We’ve documented hundreds of weddings over the past decade.

Our approach is simple:
read the room, roll with the flow, and document the day as it actually unfolds.

We’ll gently guide when it helps, step back when it matters, and keep an eye on the timeline so you don’t have to.

Most of our couples tell us they’re “awkward in photos.” Same. We’ll create the space where you can relax, and your photos will feel like you on your best day.

We photograph weddings for couples of all identities and backgrounds, including other LGBTQ+ couples.

FAQ

What is your photography style?
Our approach is documentary, with a cinematic eye for composition and light. We focus on real moments rather than overly trendy poses (but we’re always down to try out ideas you have). We pay attention to what’s actually happening and step in only when needed.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?
We’re based near downtown Los Angeles and regularly photograph weddings throughout Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, and Southern California.

How much do couples typically invest?
Most couples book us in the $6,500–$12,000 range, depending on coverage and the needs of the day.

How far in advance should we book for 2026 and 2027 weddings?
Couples reach out anywhere from 3–18 months ahead. We take on a limited number of weddings each year.

Do you photograph gay and queer weddings in Los Angeles?
Yes. We’re a queer-owned, lesbian photography duo and we work with gay, queer, and LGBTQ+ (and straight!) couples getting married.
