As an LGBTQ wedding photography team based in Los Angeles, we’re always honored to capture weddings at Dos Pueblos, especially for queer couples looking for a space where they feel fully celebrated. For this wedding, Christianne and Jacob chose the Orchid Farm because of its meaningful ties to their love story and their shared history at UC Santa Barbara.

A Love Story Rooted in Santa Barbara
Christianne and Jacob’s story began at UC Santa Barbara, where late nights of studying turned into seaside sunset dates. The Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm sits just north of the beach they frequented together in college, making it a full-circle moment to marry in the town where it all began.
Christianne works as an operating room nurse specializing in gender-affirmation surgeries, and Jacob is an electrical engineer designing medical devices. Together, they bring humor, warmth, and a love for dancing, camping, R&B, and hip-hop to every part of their relationship.
Their first dance song, “Love Like You” from Steven Universe, set the tone for a day that was lighthearted, emotional, and unapologetically them.
The couple’s style embraced the “Coastal Garden Party” dress code: colorful, light tones that encouraged guests to dress playfully and expressively. Inside the greenhouses, guests enjoyed lush florals, a cozy lounge setup, and décor that reflected both whimsy and romance.
The energy was infectious—lots of dancing, laughter, and intimate moments that celebrated not only their love but also their chosen community.
As queer wedding photographers, we know representation matters. We believe in capturing love stories with honesty, joy, and inclusivity. Whether you’re planning a wedding at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm, Goleta, Santa Barbara, or anywhere along the California coast, we create photos that reflect the real you—your community, your connection, your laughter.
Whether your wedding vision is romantic and whimsical like Christianne and Jacob’s, or modern and cinematic, this Santa Barbara venue offers a versatile canvas to make it uniquely yours.
If you’re dreaming of celebrating your love with the ocean as your backdrop, greenhouses filled with light, and wide-open fields to run barefoot in, Dos Pueblos is your place.
