Lesbian Wedding at Wedgewood Fallbrook Estate | Nicole + Lindsea’s Tropical Chic Celebration

Nicole and Lindsea’s wedding at Wedgewood Fallbrook Estate was joyful, emotional, and full of the kind of warmth that only comes from deep friendship turned lifelong partnership. Set against the estate’s beautiful buildings and soft, tropical-inspired details, their day felt intentional, family-centered, and unmistakably them.

As Los Angeles wedding photographers who also photograph weddings throughout Southern California, Wedgewood Fallbrook Estate is a venue we’re always excited to return to. It offers elegance without stiffness and architecture that photographs beautifully in a way that feels timeless and grounded.

A Love Story Built on Friendship and “Girl Magic”

Nicole and Lindsea met in college and became best friends their junior year. Over time, that friendship grew into a relationship filled with laughter, joy, and what they lovingly call “girl magic.” It’s the kind of connection where love doesn’t quite cover it, where partnership feels expansive, playful, and deeply rooted.

They live in Laguna Niguel with their two cats, Shadow and Cinder, and are surrounded by big, loving families who were central to the celebration. Lindsea works at Trader Joe’s, Nicole is a full-time fitness influencer, and together they bring an infectious energy wherever they go.

Tropical Chic at Wedgewood Fallbrook Estate

Nicole and Lindsea described their wedding style as “tropical chic,” soft, dusty tones paired with an overall gentle, airy feel. Both brides wore dresses, an important and intentional detail, and the aesthetic leaned cool rather than overly warm.

They were especially drawn to the architecture at Wedgewood Fallbrook Estate. The buildings, textures, and structure of the venue were their favorite photo backdrops, and we focused much of our portrait time there rather than on the golf course. The result feels elegant, intimate, and visually cohesive.

Moments That Truly Mattered

When Nicole and Lindsea talked about what they wanted most from their photos, one thing was clear: genuine moments over perfection.

They cared deeply about:

  • Real, candid moments between the two of them

  • Their first look and ceremony

  • Family photos, especially moments with Nicole’s mom

  • Their first kiss and the moment they walked back down the aisle together

That priority shaped how the entire day was photographed. The focus stayed on emotion, presence, and connection, allowing moments to unfold naturally without rushing or over-directing.

Their first dance to Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart was tender and grounding, a reflection of how deeply they hold one another.

Photographing Intimate, Family-Centered Lesbian Weddings

With fewer than 100 guests, the celebration felt personal and warm, filled with laughter, hugs, and meaningful interactions. Everything about the day was DIY or supported by friends and family, which only added to the feeling of closeness and care.

Our approach focused on candid storytelling, cooler tones, and preserving the moments that matter most, especially for couples who value family and authenticity over spectacle.
