Surprise Proposal, Downtown Long Beach

EnGAYged!! I am so honored to have been apart of planning and documenting this proposal. These two won a giveaway for a free couple session, and Lee ended up contacting me saying they’re planning on proposing to Haley, so this was just perfect. They are also Long Beach locals (+ vegans too, weird!), so it was perfect shooting their engagement session in Downtown Long Beach.

Haley had asked her mom years ago if she could someday have her grandmother’s ring, but her mom said no. Then when Lee asked Haley’s mom if they could propose with the grandmother’s ring, she said yes, which made this even more sweet! Also, Lee had a nearby hotel room booked and secretly packed overnight bags for them, then the next day, there was a surprise brunch planned. I loved everything about this. <3

LA Abandoned Zoo Couple Shoot

We are celebrated their one year anniversary with them cuddling up in the tall green grass and exploring around the graffiti filled cages of the old zoo remains. The vibe we were going for was a little spring equinox mixed with True Detective (Emily’s words, heheh).

Becca + Emily met at a Romeo & Juliet Party (the 90s version), Becca was wearing a floral button up dressed as Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emily was wearing her angel wings, and they looked so fricken adorable.

I met Emily at a wedding we were photographers for (she’s a dope coordinator you can check out here) and I’m so glad we did, because she’s just a really cool human I’d love to be around all the time. <3
